Native to parts of China and Southeast Asia and carefully acclimatised to Singapore’s climate, it thrives in our warmth and sunlight. When conditions are right, clusters of delicate, crinkled flowers appear above the foliage, bringing a brief softness to its otherwise structured silhouette.
Beautiful even when it isn't flowering, this is a bonsai to appreciate for its changing form throughout the year.

The name “Crepe Myrtle” comes from its flowers. Each delicate petal has a softly crinkled texture resembling crepe paper.
Care Notes
Sunlight ☀️
Give it bright light with several hours of direct sun, preferably morning sun. Good sunlight encourages compact growth and flowering.
Water 💧
Keep soil slightly moist but never soggy. Water when the top layer feels dry to touch.
Humidity 🌬️
Well suited to Singapore’s natural humidity. Good airflow around the foliage helps keep the plant healthy.
Tip 💬
For more flowers, give your Crepe Myrtle plenty of sunlight and avoid constantly trimming new growth. Flowers develop towards the ends of new shoots, so allow some branches to extend during the flowering season before pruning them back.
