Small leaves, fine branching and tiny star-like flowers give Serissa the feeling of a mature tree captured in miniature.
Native to subtropical regions of East and Southeast Asia, Serissa naturally develops dense, delicate branching that makes it particularly beautiful when styled as bonsai. Its petite proportions allow the trunk and silhouette to remain the focus, while little white or pinkish flowers appear among the foliage throughout the growing season.
Carefully acclimatised to Singapore's climate, it is a quiet, detailed bonsai that becomes increasingly characterful as it matures.

Bright indirect light with gentle morning sun. A brighter position encourages denser growth and more flowering.

Keep the soil lightly and consistently moist, but never waterlogged. Serissa dislikes being allowed to dry out completely.

Serissa can be a little dramatic when its environment suddenly changes and may temporarily drop some leaves after being moved. Give it a stable position and consistent watering rather than frequently shifting it around.
